From Alexis

I love photography because I love people. I have always enjoyed taking photos, but I didn't realize how much until my closest friends pitched in to buy me my first professional Canon camera back in 2009. Since then, it has become a real passion -  a way to create intimate moments and capture the simple beauty of people in their daily lives. My style is casual portraits or candid shots in natural light. My favourite thing is to capture joy, capturing that moment when people look and feel at their best.

Deep gratitude goes out to my friends and family who have supported me in my photography journey.

Thank you: Alex Hatley Sayers for putting the finishing touches on this website; Ilana Landsberg-Lewis for believing in my abilities; Dad, Mom, and Matt for being my patient cheerleaders; James Stuewe for encouraging me to finally put up a website; Felicity Heyworth for giving me thoughtful advice; Janet Butler McPhee for beautiful referrals; and my Antigonish girlfriends (Margo, Maria, Flora, Jen, Kara, Janice, Roberta & Mica) for getting me started in the first place.
